Thank you for visiting our class page. Here you can find information about the class.
We have had a fun end to the week, which was much deserved after a half-term of lots of effort and excellent work. The children have been busy preparing their games for our Diamond Jubilee party and finding out about Victorian Minera for our exhibition. We are hoping to invite you into class for it on the afternoon of Monday 27th June.
On Thursday 7th June, Year 5 and 6 will be visiting Wrexham Museum for a Victorian workshop. Please see the details and consent form here.
Friday 8th June will be the last swimming lesson for our class this year. After that, we will then return to our normal PE days of Tuesday and Thursday as we prepare for Sports Day.
When we return after half-term, children will need:
There is no homework set for half-term but children can continue to read regularly and practise times tables; TT Rockstars can be used for this if you have access at home.
Have a lovely half-term,
This half-term, children will take part in PE lessons on Wednesday, when they can wear a PE kit to school, and swimming lessons on Friday. Outdoor learning sessions will take place frequently and will usually take the place of a PE lesson; you will be advised when our class has outdoor learning. Depending on the weather, children may need to bring additional layers of clothing and footwear for this.
There is a wide range of books available to read online.

At times, homework will be set on Google Classroom. The purpose of homework is to support or reinforce class learning. The most effective type of homework children should be undertaking at home is regular practice of reading and multiplication facts. Regular practice of both will support children's learning more than anything else, even for those who are already very proficient. It is expected that children read regularly at home: at least five separate occasions each week. Children are expected to keep a record of their own reading in their reading record. In addition, children need regular practice of multiplication facts through games, reciting, quizzes and using TT Rockstars.
Pupils should log in to TT Rockstars using the same log in details that they use for Hwb. These can be found on children's digital passports.
For school, type: Minera Aided Primary School
The username is the first part of the hwb email address - that is, the part before @hwbcymru.net
The password is the same as children use for Hwb and is case sensitive.
