Mr Williams
Our School Sports Day will take place tomorrow (24th May) at 1.00pm. In the event of poor weather conditions, we will make the final decision by 10:30am. Please check Twitter and our school website for updates.
Children may come to school in P.E. Kit on this day and should be reminded to bring a drink of water (Plastic drinks containers only) and sun hats.
Please remember to bring something to sit on, picnic rugs, chairs etc. as unfortunately we are unable to provide seating for spectators.
See you tomorrow!
This weeks attendance was 96.1%
Congratulations to Year 1 and 2 for 100% attendance this week! Keep up the hard work!
As part of our Healthy Schools initiative and in order to promote a healthy lifestyle we encourage all children to bring a healthy snack to school to enjoy during morning break. Recently we have seen an increase in the amount of unhealthy snacks being consumed by the children e.g. chocolate, crisps etc. I understand that the key to a healthy lifestyle is a balanced diet with plenty of exercise, and I also agree that children should be given a ‘treat’ every so often (I certainly enjoy my treats!!)
However, at Minera we feel strongly about children having a healthy snack such as;
• Fruit
• Vegetables
• Breadsticks
• Crackers
• Scotch pancake
• Oat cakes
• Rice cakes
Please make every effort to ensure your child has a healthy snack in school.
Thank you for your continued support.

We kindly request a £2.50 voluntary contribution towards the cost of the coach on a weekly basis.

Many Thanks
Mr Williams
Year 2 to 6 will be sitting their first National Test tomorrow morning - The Reading Test. We all want our children to do well in any test, but it is important to recognise that there is no pass or fail in the national tests. The tests are just one piece of evidence about your child’s skills in reading and numeracy and the best way to prepare your child is to make sure that they are not worried or anxious.
