• Headlice

  Dear Parent/Guardian,

   

  Head Lice

   

  There is a reported case of head lice in school. We strongly recommend that you check your child’s hair immediately. As you may be aware head lice commonly occur amongst children at school, and it is only by regular inspection of hair that we can control the problem.

  Course of Action

  • You should check your child’s hair immediately.

  • Should you discover head lice, then obtain a comb from your local chemist.

  • Check all members of the family.

  • Regular combing or brushing is the best safeguard against head lice.

  • It is worthwhile checking your child’s hair once a week for lice (insects) and for nits (eggs)

• Children in Need - Friday 15th November

  Children can wear any Children in Need accessories or t shirts on Friday otherwise its business as usual apart from that.

   

  Also we will be holding a cake sale at breaktime to support Children in Need.  Children will be able to buy cakes for 20p.  We would welcome donations for cakes for this event.

  On Friday 15th November, we will be holding a cake sale at breaktime to support Children in Need.  Children will be able to buy cakes for 20p.  We would welcome donations for cakes for this event.   This is instead of a non-uniform day   Thankyou in advance. Mr Williams

• Minera Remembrance Service - Saturday 9th November 2019 (Tomorrow)

  We have been invited by Minera Community Council to attend the annual Remembrance Service at the War Memorial in Minera on Saturday 9th November (tomorrow). The order of events is as follows: 10:30am – Children meet at School (Please wear school uniform) 10.45am - Service at Minera War Memorial by the bus shelter. Readings, prayers, minute silence at 11am, laying of wreaths and crosses will take place. Children will be laying crosses at the memorial.

  Everyone is then cordially invited for refreshments, which the Tyn y Capel, have very kindly provided. As this event is taking place on a Saturday, children must be accompanied by an adult. Your presence at this event would be greatly valued.

  Children enjoy playing on our school field and its now becoming very wet and muddy. If children wish to continue to use the field at lunchtimes, please could bring a pair of wellies so their school shoes do not get muddy
