    On Friday 28th June, we are hold a non-uniform day. In exchange for wearing non uniform, we ask for donations for our Summer Fair next week. We would be very grateful for donations for raffle and tombola prizes. Also donations would be welcome for the other stalls - toys, books, DVDs, nearly new, etc.

  • Junior Sports Day Postponed

    We are postponing our Junior Sports Day tomorrow morning due to the condition of our school field following the recent wet weather. Please can everyone attend school in their uniforms as normal.

     

    The Sports Day will be re-arranged for Monday 15th July at 9:30am. Please accept our apologies for this cancellation but the safety of everyone is important.

    On Friday 14th June at 7pm, The Friends of Minera are holding an Auction of Promises at The Tyn y Capel in Minera.

    Please could you return raffle tickets to school by Friday morning. Lovely prizes to be won. See picture below.

     

    Please come along and support The Friends of Minera on Friday and bring along as many friends as possible to raise money for Minera School. If you are not able to attend you can still bid on the items with a pre auction bid!

  • Sports Day - Thursday 6th June

    Some important reminders about Sports Day:

    • Sports is on Thursday 6th June
    • Races for children in Foundation Phase will take place between 9:30 a.m. and are expected to be finished by 10:15 a.m. 
    • Races for children in Key Stage 2 will begin at 10:30 a.m. and are expected to be finished by 11:30 a.m.
    • Friends and families are invited to come and support the children in their races, but please be advised to bring a chair or picnic blanket.
    • We ask that children come into school wearing their PE kit for Sports Day, and if possible wear the colours of their house:

    Tudfil – blue; Clywedog – red; Eglwyseg – green

    • Rain has been forecast for Thursday morning. A decision on whether Sports Day is on will be made by 8am and everyone will be informed by text and mesages will be put on the school website and Twitter.
